On October 12, in the centralized control room of Fujian Furui Thermal Power Co., Ltd. located in the Chengnan Industrial Park of Youxi Economic Development Zone, technicians remotely controlled the coal supply to adjust the steam pressure and temperature. The high-pressure steam here is continuously supplied to the dyeing and finishing workshops of various enterprises in the park through dedicated connecting pipelines.

Since the trial production began, Furui Thermal Power has been supplying more than 10 tons of steam daily to the dyeing and finishing enterprises in the specialized park. The trial production involving Furui Thermal Power and several dyeing and finishing enterprises in the park indicates that the Youxi dyeing and finishing specialized park is about to be completed, and the textile industry cluster is becoming increasingly complete.

Strengthening the textile industry chain

At the beginning of this year, the Youxi County government signed a "one enterprise, one policy" agreement with Shunyuan Textile Group, providing precise policy support in terms of project land, financial subsidies, energy consumption indicators, education, and medical care, continuously promoting the construction of extension projects in weaving, clothing fabrics, and other industrial chains, and accelerating the integration of industry and trade.

Shunyuan Textile Group includes several textile enterprises such as Shunyuan, Longyuan, and Xuyuan, building 5G workshops and continuously transforming towards intelligence and digitization, with a production capacity exceeding 700,000 spindles and an industrial output value of nearly 4 billion yuan, having already become the leader of the textile industry in Youxi County.

The addition of leading enterprises and high-end products has provided a new development idea for Youxi's textile industry. Youxi's textile products have expanded from leather base fabrics to civilian yarns and nylon, polyester, with production scale gradually growing, the industrial chain continuously improving, and the industrial structure continuously optimizing, making the two national-level titles "China's Leather Base Fabric City" and "China's Blended Yarn City" increasingly prominent.

Currently, Youxi Huayang Fiber Technology Co., Ltd. is intensively debugging its equipment, and soon, the first production line will be able to run through the entire process for trial operation. It will fill the gap in recycled environmentally friendly polyester fiber in Youxi.

Graphene nylon functional yarn, antibacterial deodorizing nylon yarn, mosquito-repelling nylon yarn... At the R&D center of Fujian Xinsen Heqian Technology Co., Ltd., various high-end yarn products are refreshing. This enterprise is a national-level high-tech key enterprise and a national-level specialized and innovative small giant enterprise, ranking fifth in the global nylon spinning industry in terms of production capacity. Recently, it successfully made the list of "2022 Top 100 Private Enterprises in Fujian Province" and "2022 Top 50 Private Manufacturing Enterprises in Fujian Province."

With the leading role, more and more upstream and downstream textile enterprises have settled in Youxi. Now, Youxi has formed a complete industrial chain of "spinning (silk) - texturing - weaving - dyeing and finishing - printing - garment manufacturing."

In the past, local textile enterprises in Youxi had to go to Shanghai to purchase a small accessory.

This situation will soon end with the establishment of Youxi Jiayu Textile Equipment Co., Ltd. Currently, the company is also using steam provided by Furui Thermal Power for trial production.

Soon, high-quality rubber rings, rubber rollers, and other textile equipment accessories will be available locally.

This is thanks to the construction and operation of the dyeing and finishing specialized park. Youxi County has high-level planning, designating land in the Chengnan Industrial Park of Youxi Economic Development Zone to build a dyeing and finishing specialized park, introducing cogeneration and wastewater treatment plants, concentrating dyeing and finishing projects within the county, and saving special discharge indicators and discharge rights for dyeing and finishing enterprises through centralized heating and waste removal.

Furui Thermal Power adopts high-temperature and high-pressure circulating fluidized bed coal-fired boilers, with a dynamic investment of 308 million yuan. It plans to build 4 sets of 65t/h high-temperature and high-pressure circulating fluidized bed boilers and 3 sets of 7MW high-temperature and high-pressure back-pressure steam turbine generator sets. The first production line has been completed, with energy utilization efficiency reaching 91%, saving a large amount of coal resources, and achieving multiple benefits in economic, environmental, and social aspects.

The dyeing and finishing specialized park is a microcosm of Youxi County's cluster construction and promotion of intensive development of the textile industry. In the Chengnan Industrial Park, more than 10 large-scale textile enterprises, including Xuyuan Textile and Minde Clothing, have gathered here. In 2021, the county's textile output value exceeded 20 billion yuan. From January to August this year, the county's textile output value reached 16.05 billion yuan.
